Crab Cheese Puffs
½ lb. Butter
2 lb. Crab meat
½ lb. Cheddar Cheese
½ loaf of un-sliced Pullman bread (a sourdough loaf works well too)
Serves 6-8.
Blend butter and cheese together into smooth spread. Remove crust from un-sliced Pullman loaf of bread. Cut loaf in half horizontally. Slice bread lengthwise, almost through. Place shredded crabmeat in pocket formed. Cut crosswise in 1 inch servings. Completely cover top and sides of puff with cheese spread. Place on a baking pan. Bake in hot oven, 450 degrees about 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and puffs are golden brown.
