Molten Chocolate Cakes with Mint Fudge Sauce
Oh My God! These cakes are straight from heaven, no kidding, sometimes there is just no improving on a recipe and this is one of those. You will likely have sauce left over but it is great just drizzled over ice cream.
Here's the deal...you must get this recipe online. One of my favorite web sites is from Bon Appetit and Gourmet magazines. You can use this site for all kinds of interesting food and drink stuff.
The recipe search feature will let you look for a specific recipe, or a recipe with specific ingredients. I like to check out what I have at home to work with i.e. tomatoes, artichokes, pasta; then enter them into the ingredients category and let the site search for me. I usually get 3-5 recipes with those ingredients - fun! Or you can search by low-fat or meatless it is easy to use and often there is an accompanying photo as well.
So go to: www.epicurious.com and at the recipe search prompt enter: Molten Chocolate Cakes with Mint Fudge Sauce.
This is from the January 2001 Bon Appetit. The cool thing about these cakes (besides they are fabulous) is that they can be made up to a week ahead! I fill the custard cups, cover and refrigerate. Then they can go straight from fridge to oven to delicious!
